Hello everybody!
I’m a software developer and I love programming using c# and the .net framework. I’ve developed software since 1996, .net since 2004.
Like many other programmers too, I have a bit of a gut feeling about code quality. Only, when you are talking to other programmers, discussing the quality and intensity of feelings is rarely productive. Dito for discussions with the boss about strategic decisions about development processes, patterns and so on.
So one of the things I often have to think about (and which will be a frequent topic of this blog) is what the rational core of a certain gut feeling is and how to communicate this in a way that doesn’t put emotional pressure on others (“Don’t you trust me?”)
But even more of my postings will be about pieces of code I found useful, am proud of, or not, or where I did find a solution but am thoroughly unhappy with it.
